AT the Bradford Park Avenue match Stockport County Community Foundation welcomed the One Voice team from Stockport’s radio station Pure 107.8FM.

One Voice is a magazine radio show that deals with, amongst other things, disability issues. Producer Paul Holloway tells us more.

One Voice - Radio Without Barriers was first broadcast in December 2012. The show is presented by clients who attend Pure Innovation’s supported day service for people with learning, sensory or physical disabilities and those on the autism spectrum.

We are delighted to be invited back to Stockport County once again as guests of the Stockport County Community Foundation.

The team has covered Stockport County stories in the past. A recent report into facilities for disabled supporters in the Premier League showed that the majority of clubs in the top flight are missing UEFA targets for provision for wheelchair users. Only Bournemouth, Swansea and Arsenal have the recommended spaces at the start of this season.

So we came down to Edgeley Park to talk to fans using the disabled area to talk about their experiences both at Stockport County and travelling to other grounds.

We also featured the work carried out with local youngsters by Stockport County Community Foundation on one of our shows.

We have a few County fans in the team, so we were delighted when Hatter’s legend Big Kevin Francis was a guest on our show telling us about his life fighting crime in Canada.

You can listen again to these stories and much more at our podcast site www.mixcloud.com/pureonevoice
