We were pleased to welcome Brian Lee MBE, Chairman of the National League Trust and President of the National League along with Sue O'Brian, Project Manager of The National League Trust to our Stockport County fixture Vs Chorley for a cheque presentation on Saturday 18th November.

The Foundation has received this important funding for our ‘County Get Active’ project, which is designed to connect with children and adults in the community irrespective of background, age or ability. It also includes a Disability Programme, offering a pathway for children/adults to participate in structured fun coaching sessions.

The National League Trust is a charity that offers grant aid to National League Clubs to support and develop their community projects. Over £5m has been distributed so far. This money comes from the Premier League and the Professional Footballers Association, who have committed to support the Trust until 2019. They each contribute to an annual donation of £1.2m.

59 National League clubs are currently running projects and receiving funding from the Trust.

We would like to thank Brian Lee, Sue O'Brian and The National League Trust, The Premier League and The PFA for their generous support.
