would like to thank Ian Dixon and David Hopkins Foundation for kindly
supporting our Disability Football and Multisport project with this very kind
donation. The project that we run is designed to extend physical activity
opportunities for disabled children, young people and adults in Stockport and the
local area. This donation will directly benefit those taking part and help make
such a positive difference by increasing the opportunity for disabled people to
play football and take part in a range of multisport opportunities, helping to
promote a healthy lifestyle”
Foster-Grime, Vice Chairman and Director of County’s Community Foundation was
delighted and commented:
kind award means such a lot to the children and young adults we support at
Stockport County. Our project values the exceptional young people involved in
disability sport, strengthening their confidence whilst helping them to
discover they can meet many challenges through the power of sport. I was
particularly privileged to have worked alongside David Hopkins who was such an
inspiration to all of us who campaigned to promote the power of sport in
transforming lives. David would be so proud of the work Ian and the David
Hopkins Foundation team continue in his memory. “
