Stockport County Community Foundation are delighted to announce we will be once again sponsoring Sam Minihan for the upcoming season. Sam continues to work very closely with all aspects of the Community Foundation in all of our projects. He will be delivering coaching sessions as part of our Midshire Schools' Coaching Programme, whilst also attending the many other projects we deliver weekly, such as; Walking Football, Goalz Stockport Evening Engagement Sessions, our Disability Programme and much more.
We're delighted to have such a positive role model for the children and young people of Stockport to engage with. Our dedicated team of staff are very passionate about the role they play in our community, therefore they're all delighted to see such a superb professional continuing with the team.
Sam had this to say regarding his work with ourselves; 'My overall experiances as a player/coach for Stockport County's Community Foundation have allowed me to meet people from all areas of the community and really see the true love and emotion people have for this club. This in turn drives me to make the club successful so initiative's such as the Foundation can continue to grow and carry out the outstanding work they do for all areas of the community. The Foundation is also quite unique in the way that it possess players as coaches too. Speaking from a player's point of view you can unquestionably see the difference it makes having someone who plays for the club they support or know of coaching their sessions. I have managed to enagage thousands of children and hopefully inspire these indivduals into making good decisions, staying active and becoming lifelong learners'.
The whole Community Foundation team are looking forward to what is sure to be a fantastic year for Sam, the club and ourselves. At this point, we'd like to wish Sam and the rest of the team the very best of fortunes for the season ahead from everyone at the Community Foundation.
