Stockport County Community Foundation is delighted to announce GUARDIAN EDUCATION will be once again supporting the Community Foundation at Stockport County over the next 12 months.

GUARDIAN EDUCATION specialise in supplying exceptional teachers, teaching assistants and support staff to Primary Schools throughout the borough and the Foundation are delighted such a local and well respected company have agreed to support the Foundation for a further year.

Following on from last year’s successful Community Cup partnership, they have agreed to increase the partnership further by providing every member of the Foundation’s coaching team, with terrific warm winter jackets along with supporting our Primary Schools Community Cup once again.

The Community Cup, established five years ago by the Community Foundation has grown from strength to strength and last year. This year Primary schools will compete against each other to become the Stockport County Guardian Education Community Cup Champions 2018 resulting in the winning school representing Stockport County in the Regional Finals stage of the competition. The Community Cup is open to all schools across Stockport, Tameside and the High Peak area with the aim being to encourage them to test their skills against each other in a structured and fun environment giving them the opportunity to play the final on the hallowed turf at Edgeley Park.

This year’s local stage competition will take place at the Power League Complex in Stockport on Monday 10th and Wednesday 12th December. The two finalists from each day will then have the fantastic opportunity to play the final at Edgeley Park which is expected to be one of the annual highlights of the schools' sporting calendar.

Andrew Williams (Director) & Rick Holland (Branch Manager) for Guardian Education Commented:

“We are genuinely thrilled to be supporting our home town club’s charity Foundation for another year, working closely with Matt and Dave to offer sporting services to our local primary schools. We are looking forward to the tournament to begin and wish all the participating schools good luck!’

Charlie Ashley – (Recruitment Consultant for Guardian Education):

“‘The competition is such a fantastic opportunity for the children and the schools. I am so pleased with how professional the jackets look! I am really looking forward to being a part of the competition again this year and to see the SCFC Coaches wearing the jackets in the local primary schools!’
