Stockport
County Community Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported the
Bucket collection on Saturday 8 December that raised a fantastic £364.22 for
our Disability and Mental Health Football Programme.
We would
like to say a heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers from Heathfield House - NHS
Pennine Care Trust and to their adult disability football players for coming
along as volunteers to help collect on the day. Everyone has feedback how much
they enjoyed getting involved and taking part in the event and watching a very
exciting match which saw County draw 1-1 against Chester.
Adrian
Bates, Disability Football Development Officer said:
It was
fabulous to see service users, disability adult players and carers getting
involved and volunteering their time to give something back as collectors
raising invaluable funds for the Community Foundation, which is a local
Charity. This funding will go towards the Disability and Mental Health
programme in helping to purchase sports equipment including footballs, nets,
training bibs, training cones, and first aid kits, together with helping with
venue hire and tournament costs. A big thank you to the Club and the kind
donations made on the day from both County and Chester fans at the game!
