Our very successful 'Step Up Transition Project' continues to grow from strength to strength. The programme has been running for over 5 years in partnership with Stockport MBC and the National League Trust and the new cohort are doing very well as we reach the half way summer break stage in this years programme.

We are really pleased to continue to deliver this programme due to the continued vital funding from Stockport MBC and The National League Trust and this programme really makes a difference to our local community School children in Year 6 making the 'Transition' to High School. The eight month project is delivered to reduce the possible fear and anxiety that sometimes can occur when moving schools. This year the group were selected from; Adswood Primary, Bridgehall Primary, Cale Green Primary, St. Bernadette's, Westmorland and St. Mark’s Primary Schools. We have once again set up a calendar of events to run once a month on a Saturday starting in April. The activities each month include; Bowling, Wall Climbing, Orienteering, Bikeability Training along with Educational Workshops during each session with our Learning Mentor.

Alongside the funding we have received from The National League Trust and Stockport MBC we have great support from Brian and his team at Cerecycloan who will be supporting the programme along with supplying a bike to each member of the group on completion of the programme. This will be taking place in December following a completion ceremony conducted by local dignitaries.

We are very excited to be working on this great project and will keep you updated on the progress of the group and thank you to Stockport MBC and The National League Trust for their continued support.
