Over the last few months, we have been running our Under 11s Schools Cup in partnership with New Direction who continue to sponsor the competitions each year. This year we had a record number of teams enter both competitions with the prize of the finalists playing on Edgeley Park and having the opportunity to experience being a football for a day and using all the facilities such as changing room, players tunnel, managers dugouts!!

The Stockport Area Final was contested between Banks Lane Junior and Moorfield Primary, with Banks Lane Junior coming out on top and winning 2-0. The Tameside Area Final was played between St. Johns Primary School and Stalyhill Junior School and this was a very tight affair and with no goals scored in normal time, penalties were required and Stalyhill were the eventual winners!!
